Despite the terrible health crisis hitting the world today, Sunna Design’s manufacturing facility and supply chain are operating almost as normally as before. In spite of the temporary plant closure of several of our industrial partners in Europe, we have a sufficient stock of components to continue to operate in total autonomy, for several weeks.
The health and safety of our teams, customers, and partners is Sunna Design’s number one priority. Our Factory of the Future concept has enabled us to adapt workstations to meet this requirement quickly.
Production Operator, Romain Ballet, explains: “Because of the situation, we have switched to a minimum production staff with two operators per line and a logistics specialist to ensure continuity of supply. The vast majority of our suppliers are in France and Europe, which will allow us to guarantee a good production rate for the coming weeks.
We have adapted our workstations to ensure that we leave at least 1 to 2 meters between us. We make sure to disinfect our hands regularly, and we take particular care with the products going out for shipping. It is strange to be so few in this vast building, with all the other departments working from home. Fortunately, a few of our colleagues stop by from time to time to check on us!”
At Sunna Design, autonomy, flexibility, and anticipation go far beyond the 4.0 production site. These adjectives are part of the company’s DNA. Our teams have been able to set up an efficient remote work organization which has enabled us to ensure, for nearly three weeks, the continuity of all projects and the continued growth of the company.
