In Cameroon, the sun works the night shift
Sunna Design’s solar lighting systems help to drastically improve security and efficiency in a sand extraction site along the Sanaga river.
An off-grid area
« I am very impressed by the lighting output of your products » says Paul Ndjam of the INQUIRE ACT company that runs the INNO sand pits in Edea on the left bank of the Sanaga river in Cameroon. Along with Sunna Design’s partner HELIOS, they devised a single solution to the two problems they had. First, the local grid was unreliable and blackouts ruined the late evening work performance.
Security lighting
Then, poor lighting was also a concern for operators security and equipment theft. LEDs solar lighting was the solution of choice, even in a country that had its share of bad « solar » experience through poor equipment in the past. HELIOS and Sunna delivered ISSL+ and ISSL Maxi Area units on-site and the INNO. production figures improved immediately.
